It is double-aged: first in bourbon casks in Barbados, then again in French Ferrand Cognac casks. Planteray describes floral notes with vanilla and milk chocolate on the nose, then cinnamon, a spicy body, and biscuit and chocolate on the palate.
It is designed for sipping neat or over ice but also works in cocktails, and with Christmas coming up it would make a good present for a rum drinker.
