About this offer

30 British yellow daffodil bulbs for £2.99, offering a very inexpensive way to create a bright spring display in the garden, borders, lawn or containers.
These are outdoor bulbs, not ready-grown plants, so they will need planting before they produce flowers. In the UK, daffodils are normally planted in early autumnideally Septemberand generally flower between January and April, depending on the variety, weather and location. The packet shown specifically gives a flowering period of January to April, so the first shoots may appear during the winter, with flowers following from January onwards. Earlier flowering is more likely in a sheltered, sunny position many standard varieties are more likely to flower during February and March.
At £2.99 for 30 bulbs, the cost is roughly 10p per bulb. Plant them in groups or drifts for a fuller display, in well-drained soil in full sun or light shade.
Planting tips
Plant with the pointed end facing upwards.
Cover the bulbs with soil to roughly two to three times the bulbs height.
Allow around 1015cm between bulbs, unless the packet gives different instructions.
Water after planting if the soil is dry avoid permanently waterlogged ground.
In grass, avoid mowing the foliage until it has naturally yellowed after flowering.
Remove faded flowers, but leave the leaves in place so the bulbs can build energy for next year.
