Children of Zodiarcs is available on the Nintendo Switch, having launched digitally on 27 March 2020. Developed by Cardboard Utopia and published by Plug In Digital, it is a single-player, story-driven tactical RPG that beautifully blends classic grid-based strategy with deck-building and physics-based dice rolling. Gameplay Mechanics & Features Deck-Building Combat: Instead of traditional menus, your attacks and abilities are tied to a customizable deck of combat cards unique to each character. Physics-Based Dice: After choosing a card, you roll customizable dice that add modifiers like extra attack power, defense, healing, or special triggers. You can even craft your own dice and utilize up to two re-rolls per turn. The Story: Set in Lumus, a fantasy realm starkly divided by extreme wealth and poverty, you control a band of young thievesled by Nahmiwho are hunted by city guards, rival gangs, and subterranean cannibals after an ancient relic heist goes wrong. Switch Quality of Life: The Switch version includes post-launch updates such as a battle gameplay speed-up toggle and a no-grind mode.
