Supported by the BFI, awarding National Lottery Good Cause funding, Escapes is a nationwide initiative that makes cinema more accessible to all. With screenings at a large number of independent cinemas across the UK, Escapes is your invitation to switch off and be transported into stories on the big screen. From exciting previews of new films and beloved blockbusters to thought-provoking documentaries, every visit offers an opportunity to escape. All screenings include descriptive subtitles, so everyone can enjoy the experience.
How do I book tickets
To book tickets, please head to the film event page, and click Book Now under the cinema of your choice. Cinemas are automatically shown in order of proximity to the postcode you have provided. If you have not given your postcode, please do so when prompted, or via the right hand bar.

Offering regular free screenings at over 100 independent cinemas across the UK, Escapes opens doors for new audiences to experience a variety of films, from previews of new indie gems through to revisiting beloved blockbusters and discovering thought-provoking documentaries. Escapes exists to open up cinema to new audiences across the UK.

We have a zero tolerance policy for offensive behaviour or discrimination of any kind. This is deemed to be (but not limited to) racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism and/or any form of intersectional discrimination where these combine.
All our films are shown with on-screen descriptive subtitles and optional audio description (AD provision is subject to site capability). Our team is ready to connect audiences with venues to support any access requirements.
