This is a really good book which is accurate when it describes how policing works. Any current or ex-police officers, as well as anyone interested in crime, will love this. No one is a superhero and the plot twists and turns until an unexpected climax.
A window into a darker world. This along with the intricate lives and relationships of both the force and the local community made it a fascinating read. The added interest was the authors ability to demonstrate what its like for DI Rego, a visible minority, living in Cornwall, heading up a complex murder investigation.
