Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. Released on September 17, 2026, as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, it is the eighteenth mainline entry in the acclaimed Fire Emblemseries. Sharing a world with Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the game explores the ancient Mediterranean-inspired Dagdan Empire.
The Premise
The narrative opens in the year 1454, with the Dagdan Empire on the brink of total destruction by the resurrected demon god Balor. At the behest of the goddess Sothis, a customizable soul named Eshmel (or Ishmail) is sent back five years into the past. Your mission is to guide, protect, and ensure the survival of four legendary Flame Lords as they compete in the Heroic Gamesa massive gladiatorial tournament in the capital city of Dagsion where the victor is granted a single wish.
The Four Main Protagonists
Players navigate four separate, parallel storylines:
Cai: A young boy determined to win the tournament to rescue his imprisoned father.
Dietrich: A skilled foreign swordsman seeking a legendary opponent in a duel to the death.
Theodora: A newly enthroned queen fighting to protect her kingdom and preserve its faith.
Leda (or Lita): A talented musician driven by pure vengeance against the person who murdered her father.

Dual Combat Systems: Feature traditional grid-based tactical matches inside the tournament arena, alongside a separate party-based JRPG combat system utilized when exploring open areas and dungeons.
Blaze Arts: Introduce a high-stakes attack variant that costs health points to execute, filling a Blaze Gauge for massive buffs but risking a Burst HP penalty.
Unified Campaign Log: Utilise a single-save file layout, allowing players to jump between the four distinct hero scenarios at any time and merge their collective progress toward a unified conclusion.
