Carrying comfort: Padded back and straps thumb rests.

Volume measurement: Decathlon measures capacity by filling the main compartment and pockets with small balls, then measuring their volume in a graduated container.
Backpack adjustment: Loosen the straps, put the backpack on, tighten the shoulder straps, then adjust as needed.
Packing guidance: Heavy items should go at the bottom, with clothing packed around them. Frequently needed items such as a waterproof jacket, fleece, sun cream, map and glasses should remain easily accessible.
Water resistance: The materials are water-repellent and can handle temporary light rain, but the backpack itself is not waterproof and has no rain cover.
Durability testing: Decathlon tests the fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips for properties including abrasion, tearing, UV colourfastness, washing and water resistance. The assembled backpack is also tested using simulated hiking movements.
Design improvements: Customer feedback led to a double zip on the main compartment and a larger base on the outside pocket to reduce the chance of belongings falling out.
Warranty: Quechua backpacks have a 10-year warranty against normal product wear and tear, covering components from the zips to the seams
