About this offer
Meta has launched Muse, and one of the most interesting parts is that users reportedly get a free persistent Ubuntu Linux cloud computer.
Early reports suggest specs of around:
2 vCPUs
8GB RAM
100GB persistent storage
Ubuntu Linux
No dedicated GPU
This isnt just a chatbot browser session it can reportedly run software, execute code and keep files between sessions.
Potential uses include:
Python scripts and automation
FFmpeg video conversion
Batch image/video processing
Lightweight web apps
Cron jobs
Bots
Public-data scraping
Linux testing
Media processing
Possibly even streaming prerecorded video via FFmpeg/RTMP, if Meta allows the required outbound connections
Obviously there may be usage, networking or bandwidth limits, and the reported specs could change, but for free this looks potentially very useful.

Would be interesting to see what people manage to run on it and where Meta sets the limits.
