Coach House Loft is part of an 18th-century coach house, tucked away next to Peckover House and Garden. Youll have free entry there to enjoy the elegant Georgian town house during opening hours and have your own key to its garden, taking a secret door after other visitors have gone home for the day. This special garden has remained mainly unchanged since its Victorian heyday, with a rose garden, orangery, orchard lawn and borders full of herbaceous plants.
The loft is a light, first-floor apartment, with exposed beams in its airy, open-plan living area and a secluded, south-facing seating area in a secluded courtyard. Its in the heart of Wisbech – a small market town – five minutes from the harbour and 30 minutes from the coast. The Wash National Nature Reserve is 16 miles away. A short distance further, the coastline changes from dramatic saltmarshes to miles of sandy beaches, pinewoods and dunes, stretching from Hunstanton to Brancaster and beyond Holkham to Wells-next-the-Sea.

Heath End Lodge is a former gatehouse that sits at the southern entrance to Calke Abbey. Built in 1806, the lodge is Grade II listed and boasts an open fire and large lawn area. Its intriguing pentagonal shape and large windows create a bright and spacious interior where light streams in from the open landscape.
Within easy reach of Calke Abbey and conveniently located close to East Midlands Airport, you can take advantage of the cottages unique position and explore this beautiful building before the other visitors arrive. Later, discover some of the beautiful villages that surround the abbey and maybe stop for a drink or grab something to eat in one of the local pubs.
Further afield, the Ferrers Centre for Arts and Crafts is a fabulous place to discover a range of artisans including blacksmiths, sculptors, upholsterers and potters.

Stay in the heart of Stackpole possibly the most wildlife rich and well preserved coastline in Wales. Youll be on the edges of the grade I listed landscape of Bosherston Lily Ponds with the beach a mile away.
Thyme Cottage is part of our Basic Collection, which offers low-cost, fuss free accommodation for those wanting to spend less time inside and more time in the open. It has a small enclosed garden shared with the adjoining holiday homes, which overlooks open farmland.
Head to Stackpole Quay for guided kayaking sessions along the coast. From here you can hop onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for walks across the headlands, woods and beach, Barafundle Bay. Or if surfing is your thing, drive 20 minutes to Freshwater West for reliable waves all year round.

Heron View is a cosy riverside apartment in Malmsmead in the heart of North Devon, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. This is a great place for a peaceful nights sleep after an active day of rambling, in an area popular with walkers. The Oare and Badgworthy waters meet here, with a scenic bridge and ford just a stones throw from the cottage, and a café next door.
On the ground floor theres a handy boot room, and stairs leading up to the living room, kitchen, family bathroom, and one king size and two single bedrooms. A grassy outdoor area with seating adjacent to the cottage is shared with The Buttery Café & Riverside Gardens, which occasionally runs events – visit their website to see whats on during your stay.
Fans of R. D. Blackmore will be interested to know that the nearby Doone Valley inspired him for his well-known novel, Lorna Doone. Take a self-led tour of the novel and journey through places such as the medieval village at Hoccombe Combe and the water slide at Lank Combe.
The nearest shingle beach is at Lynmouth just over two miles away. A little further afield, Lynton and Porlock are seven miles away with pubs, restaurants and shops

This stylish barn conversion sits on the edge of the Sheringham Park estate with views over the North Norfolk coast. Step inside to a truly atmospheric space where high beamed ceilings tower over a spacious open kitchen and living area. Just outside, theres a small shared sea-view sitting area where the chime of the Poppy Line Steam Railway echoes through.
Youll have direct access to 1,000 acres of woodland and parkland at Sheringham Park, and can climb to the top of the gazebo for 360 views across the surrounding countryside, the North Norfolk coast and maybe even catch a glimpse of the steam train.
The nearest beaches are Sheringham, West Runton and Cromer. Visit the Victorian pier at Cromer and catch a show on its theatre. Blakeney Quay is a 20-minute drive from the barn, where you can book onto guided seal watching trips.

Squires Loft sits above the old stable block just to the side of the grand Felbrigg Hall. Youll be in the midst of life of the estate with the busy restaurant just below and views of the sweeping parkland. Built in the neo-Jacobean style in the 17th-century, this two-bedroom apartment is brimming with character, timber vaulted ceilings run throughout the open plan living and kitchen area and its small outdoor seating area sits behind an arched wall overlooking the courtyard.
There are lots of waymarked trails around the estate for you to follow, as well as a walled garden and parkland lake to explore. As a guest youre invited to discover the elegant country house of the estate, Felbrigg Hall, free of charge.
Beyond the estate walls, North Norfolks heritage coast can be reached within a 10-minute drive. Head to Cromer for its sandy beach, 500 ft pier and links to the Norfolk Coast path. For a slightly wilder coastal scene, drive 30 minutes to Blakeney National Nature Reserve, where youll discover its unspoilt sand dunes, marshes and rare wildlife.
