Google is running a promotional 3-month trial on its budget-friendly Google AI Plus tier for £1.09 per month.
Google recently overhauled this subscription level. It slashed the standard monthly rate down from £6.99 to £4.49 per month, while simultaneously doubling the cloud storage from 200 GB to 400 GB.
You can cancel at any time to prevent being rolled onto the full standard price, but timing matters for how long you keep the benefits:
If you cancel in Month 1: Your 400 GB storage and AI tools will remain active until the end of that first months billing cycle. At that point, the subscription terminates, and you wont be charged for months 2 or 3.
To get the full 3 months of cheap storage: You must let the subscription roll and pay the £1.09 fee at the start of Month 1, Month 2, and Month 3. You can then safely cancel anytime during that 3rd month to ensure you are never billed the full £4.49 rate for Month 4.
