Heavy duty shredders used by industry are much quicker and obviously dont overheat every time they are used but small home shredders often do. Ive got two home shredders both of which tend to cut out after ten minutes and then I have to wait between five and ten minutes for them to cool down and work again. Neither has failed completely so the only problem is the short usage time and also having to clear the cutting teeth of accumulated shredded paper bits after each use. If your employers have a shredder ask if you can take small amounts in to shred.
