Ive got one of the corded brushed versions that I bought as a spare for when my usual rough work grinder gave up. Its been ok so far. Though something I dont like (which appears to be the case with this one) is the way the guard attaches. Typically grinders have an area the guard clamps around which means it can be repositioned quickly with the disk in place and removed quickly without tools for using wire wheels etc. and its easy to use generic replacement guards and other accessories like vacuum dust shrouds. But for some reason parkside have decided to go their own way and use screws to hold the guard to the underside which is fiddly and renders it incompatible with third party guards and accessories.
Probably wont buy another for this reason alone (and wouldnt have bought this one had I noticed before I did).
Its a shame because apart from this they seem very good value offering 5 inch with speed control for much less money than the alternatives.
On the other hand £35 for a brushless tool if you already have the batteries and charger or plan to buy more parkside tools in the future is a pretty good deal if none of the above is important to you.
If you already have batteries for Makita or DeWalt or plan to buy any of those tools in the future then mellif tools might be a worth a look as theyre compatible with DeWalt or Makita batteries depending which model you buy (and I imagine their batteries also compatible with DeWalt or Makita tools too albeit not their chargers). Seem to get good reviews for build quality by people whove had them to bits, though spare parts availability is probably about as good as parkside (i.e. not very to none existent). Bit more expensive than parkside but still cheaper than DeWalt or Makita and more typical guard attachment by the looks of things.
Edit: if youre thinking of buying a more expensive trade level tool Id tend to go for Makita over Milwaukee personally. Check out Dean Doherty on YouTube. His repair videos often seem quite critical of Milwaukee tools. (edited)
