About this offer
Fright Night (1985) follows Charley Brewster, a teenage horror fan who becomes convinced that his charming new neighbour, Jerry Dandrige, is actually a vampire. After witnessing Jerry attack a woman, Charley turns to the adults around him for help, but nobody believes him. Desperate, he seeks out Peter Vincent, a washed-up horror television host who once played a vampire hunter. Initially dismissing Charleys claims, Peter soon discovers that Jerry really is undead and has set his sights on Charley and his girlfriend, Amy. As Jerrys supernatural powers become increasingly dangerous, Charley and Peter are forced to confront the vampire before he can claim more victims. Blending horror, comedy and 1980s teen culture, Fright Night turns classic vampire mythology into a playful yet genuinely frightening battle between an ordinary teenager and an ancient predator. With memorable characters, practical effects and plenty of dark humour, the film celebrates classic horror while giving the vampire genre a fresh, entertaining twist.
